Interpret Summer Wine

During summer time if you take your kitchen outside, make sure that you do not forget guests from your wine cellar. This is important since we can experience 150 different flavor sensations and grape wine can trigger almost all of them.  This means that by adding some wine to your grilling menu, you can turn an enjoyable experience into a memorable one.  Just make sure that you keep your summer wine out of the sun and in cool conditions that are around 55 degrees F.

Pairing summer wines with Food

There are four different types of food dishes associated with dining al fresco that you can serve with wine. First, there are heavy dishes, which are foods that you chew hard and that have strong tastes.  You will want a full-bodied summer wine for these dishes.  These include Italian Malvasia and oaked California Chardonnay.

Sweet Dishes that require summer wine. Third, there are fatty dishes for which you will want a wine that is high in acidity such as the Rieslings, Sauvignon Blancs and most sparkling wines.

Fourth and finally there are protein-rich dishes that you will want a wine such as a Cabernet or Syrah for.  These wines do not pair well with fish and other seafood or salty dishes.

Grill Food

Some grilled food and summer wine combinations that are rather alluring. Whenever you marinate shrimp in olive oil, lime juice, onion, garlic and rosemary and grill it you will want Pinot Grigio.  This summer wine is light and crisp.  It has a fruity taste, with mild flavors of citrus and peaches. For chicken legs you will want Shiraz, which has a soft, rich red berry flavor.

If you are having barbecued ribs the summer wine that you will want is Syrah.  It has a rich and spicy black plum flavor.Pork chops go well with Riesling.  This is a soft, lightly sweet wine that has golden apple and peach flavors.

For steak you will want Cabernet Sauvignon.  This is a big oak, big black cherry wine that goes great with steaks. Whenever you make salmon you can choose from a few different types of summer wine.  These include Grenache, Mourvdre, Syrah and Zinfandel – all of which are hugely rich and fruity.

A great wine to enjoy whenever you make grilled peaches, pears, pineapples or bananas is Ménage a Trois Rosé.  This summer wine has lots of strawberry and light cherry flavors.

Types of Wine

How to Choose Best Type of Wine

Selecting Wines will depend on food wine parings. Because you have to choose the wine depending on what type of food you are going to order.Heading to a wine store to choose a bottle for a special occasion and perusing the many different types of wine available can be intimidating. There are only four types of wine, classifying them as red, white, cheap and expensive while others include pink wines and the extraordinarily expensive found only in collections.

Most of them will choose either red or white wine. It pays to understand that red wines are usually colored by leaving the skin in the grape juice during the fermentation process. The rose types of wine have the peels removed after a specific time during fermentation and the white wines are fermented without the peels in the juice at all. In addition to the coloring, different aging processes also help determine the different types of wine available.

Food wine parings:

White wine go best with white meat and red wine with red meat. Red wines are most often aged in wood barrels to provide a deeper, richer flavor, sometimes described as woody, while white wines are not stored in wood to maintain their usually cleaner, clear taste. There are also guidelines on the types of wine to drink with different types of food, but many find the guidelines are not all encompassing.

Guidelines

For the most part, guidelines say that red wine should be consumed with red meats and white wines with white meat. However, with the different flavors of the different types of wine, people are finding that some red wines taste better with fish and some white wines go better with their beef. Not all wines are made of grapes, and these types of wine are usually indicated by their name such as apple wine or elderberry wine. There is also several types of wine that are made from grains such as rice, but they usually have a closer resemblance to beer instead of the smoother taste of wine.

Usually while choosing wine we will just check the alcohol content and we dont’ mind of the country or area where it is coming. But some wine lovers will be interested in learning the varities of grapes and the area where it is grown how it is made and so on.

Wine Cellar

How to Protect Beverage in Wine Cellar

Everyone does not need a wine cellar and unless they have more than a few bottles of wine, they probably do not need one.

Those with an extensive collection of wines will require a wine cellar, however many restaurants that feature a variety of wines will have one kept stocked on a consistent basis. Always store it in alphabetical order and a wine cellar is more than a basement.

In order to maintain the wine in its best condition, temperature and humidity controls are used in the best wine cellar. An average temperature of about 55 degrees is recommended for most wine varieties and the humidity recommendation may vary by the type of wine.

Many have visions of a wine cellar of racks and racks of bottles gathering dust in a dimly lit environment. While subdued lighting is typical where wine is stored, rarely will owners of large wine collections allow dust to accumulate on the bottles.

Seperate with Temeperatues

There will be partitions with which to separate the different types of wine and the recommended differences in temperature. The largest section may be for those stored at 55-degrees with smaller sections used for those stored in colder temperatures. Most establishments use precise temperature and humidity controls providing a better environment for their wine than the seating area of the restaurant.

Some may arrange a wine cellar in the rage of prices from $5 a bottle will be placed upwards and the rest in the same order. One important aspect of protecting a wine collection is not allowing them to be exposed to natural sunlight. Most cellars are void of windows and the ultraviolet light is not allowed to destroy the vintage wines.

Wine owners who have smaller collections may have a view that wine cellar is just a waste of time and money. But instead of wine cellars there are some devices that can replace them. They will be like small refrigerators that can hold half dozen bottles.
